Bleach was a publication released in May of 2020 and featured visual stories of the pandemic. My submission was a composite that featured photos taken around San Francisco City Hall where there was a noticeable increase in homeless encampments at that time.
I wanted to achieve a surreal quality by creating a lo-fi, textured City Hall background image against an unnatural solid sky with black and white imagery in the foreground. I had a very limited time frame to complete the submission—design decisions had to be made quickly with little direction.
